- I have counseled both clergy and laypersons – particularly regarding spiritual abuse. I have been in ministry for over 20 years; I began in ministry as a youth minister for a Baptist church in Long Island, N.Y., where I was licensed in 1985. I have studied theology at Wilberforce and Lincoln Universities. I have a B.A.in Business and minored in psychology (including communication and counseling techniques) from La Salle University in Philadelphia. While attending La Salle, I was inducted into Psi Chi - the national honor society of Psychology. I also have nearly 20 years of experience in the Human Services field, where I assumed multiple roles as a counselor, mentor teacher, and I have done a public speaking as both, an advocate and as a spokesperson for the rights of adults with mental and physical disabilities in nationwide conferences, It is as a spokesperson and advocate of the victims of spiritual abuse (including myself) and as an advocate of the true ministerial calling of servitude.
